Eigentlich hatte ich keine so großen Pläne, sondern war mir nur unsicher, ob aus den alten Samen noch etwas sprießen würde. Aber zu meiner Überraschung haben fast alle Samen gekeimt und jetzt kann ich wirklich eine Plantage bepflanzen. Man benötigt nämlich nur eine Pflanze pro Topf und eigentlich bin ich schon viel zu spät dran. Chilis sät man eigentlich schon im Februar aus und setzt sie dann im April, wenn es keinen Frost mehr gibt, ins Freie. (Ich lasse Sie lieber im Topf für eine späte Ernte, aber wir hatten auch schon Ernteerfolge im Freiland) Aber ehrlich, bei dem Wetter bekommen meine Kleinen noch keinen Auslauf. Ich bin jetzt gespannt, ob ich trotzdem noch ernten kann. Weitere Updates von meinen kleinen Schützlingen werden folgen. (Vielleicht sollte ich ihnen eine Facebookseite einrichten?)
My very own chili plantation
Honestly I never had big plans, I just was not sure if any of the old chili seeds were going to sprout. But to my surprise nearly all of them have transformed to wee green plants and now I really got enough to fill a plantation. One only needs one plant per pot and I am too late, too. One sows chilies inside in February and then puts them outside in April, after the last frosty nights. (Always saver to keep them in a pot, though we did harvest some in our garden years before) But I am not going to let my wee ones roam around in such a weather. Now I am very curious if I can harvest despite my late start. More updates of my little fosterlings are following. (Do you think they need a facebook page? Just kidding)
