Recycling-Bastelidee: Kleine Kunst aus Farbprobekarten // Tutorial: Paint Chip Recycling Art

Die letzten Wochen waren wirklich ziemliche Hühnerwochen und meine Anleitungen fürs Recyclingbasteln sind sehr vernachlässigt worden. Ich war einfach zu beschäftigt mit langweiligen Nähsachen. Aber jetzt gibt es wieder eine kleine Bastelidee.

 

Lieber Leser, wenn du auch nur mit enormer Willensstärke an den Farbkarten im Baumarkt vorbeigehen kannst, dann solltest du jetzt weiterlesen. Ich komme nämlich meistens nicht dran vorbei und nehme mir meine Lieblingsfarbkombination mit. Zu Hause schaue ich sie an. Ich erfreue mich daran. Und dann werfe ich sie weg und ärgere mich noch im selben Moment, dass ich solch einen sinnlosen Müll verursacht habe. Schließlich verbraucht die Herstellung dieser Farbkarten wertvolle Ressourcen und ich habe sie zu nichts gebraucht.

So kann es nicht weitergehen, habe ich mir gesagt und mir ein einfaches kleines Bastelbild für einen auch schon länger vernachlässigten Bilderrahmen (von Ikea) ausgedacht. Natürlich kann man so auch andere bunte Papierfetzen (Seiten aus Zeitschriften, Free cards etc.) veredeln.

Do you, dear reader, also have a hard time walking past those pretty paint swatches in the DIY store? Well, I can never resist and take some of my favorite color combinations home. I look at them. I admire them. And then I throw them in the paper bin because I do not want my home to look like a  messy lair. And instantly I feel guilty. To manufacture those cards someone used precious resources and I simply waste them.

No more, I said to myself and tried to think of something simple to put into some long neglected picture frames. Thanks to this little recycling art project I can grab as much paint chips as I want and never have to feel guilty again.

Here is the tutorial. It goes without saying that this kind of art can also be made from colorful junk mail, free postcards, magazine pages and everything else you can think of.

 

Aus den Farbkarten schneidet oder stanzt man eine Form aus. Ich habe wieder meinen Katzenstanzer benutzt.

Cut out any shape you like from your paint chips. I have got a stapler which making cat shaped pieces so I used this one. 

Dann benötigt man noch kleine Kartonrechtecke um einige der Katzen etwas zu erhöhen. Nur so sieht es nach einem dreidimensionalen Haufen aus.

Find some card board and cut out little rectangles to elevate some of the paint chip cats. 

Man braucht zwei weiße Papiere. Eines als Hintergrund und eines als Passepartout.

You need two pieces of white paper. One background and another to use as a passepartout.

Auf das Hintergrundpapier habe ich zuerst ganz eng ganz viele Katzen kreuz und quer geklebt. Dann kommt das Papierstück mit dem ausgeschnittenen Fenster darauf und anschließend werden die erhöhten Katzen aufgeklebt. Voilá.

Layer most of the cats flat on top of each other. Cover this background with the passepartout and add some elevated (use several cardboard pieces) cats.

Done!
