Rosa Vintage Hochzeitskleid // Pink Vintage Wedding Dress

Ist das nicht herzig? Diese Ärmel bringen mich ins Schwärmen.

Leider kann ich es nicht besser präsentieren, weil ich nicht reinpasse. Drama! Ich habe einfach zu breite Schultern und Hüften für dies 6oer Größe 40-42. Wäre wahrscheinlich heute eine 38, so eng, wie das an den Armen ist.

Wenn ich also nicht wundersamerweise schrumpfe, dann werden ich und dieses wunderschöne Kleid wohl nie zusammen ausgehen.
Eigentlich wollte ich dann den Stoff für einen Rock verwenden, aber ich bringe es einfach nicht übers Herz das Kleid zu zerschneiden. Wie oft kommt man schon an ein intaktes Hochzeitskleid (vielleicht auch mal als Abendkleid getragen) aus den späten 60ern/ frühen 70ern.

Es war höchstens einmal, vielleicht auch gar noch nicht getragen, denn der Schmutzschutz am Saum ist noch intakt. Das Preisschild war auch noch dran, angeblich mal um die 300 DM gekostet.

Der Stoff hat Glitzerfasern eingewebt und ist aus Vollplastik (Polyester). Mit Samtschleifen und schimmernden Knöpfen.


Etwas Stoff rauslassen ist auch unmöglich, weil die Nähte schon am Limit genäht sind. Also werde ich es einfach noch eine Weile anschauen, vielleicht fällt mir was anderes dafür ein. Als kurzes Kleid wäre es so toll gewesen. Aber vom Jammern wird es auch nicht größer.


Es warten noch mehr vintage Schätzchen auf ihre Präsentation im Blog. Also wer auf vintage Hochzeitskleider und Hüte und Abendgarderobe und Fasnachtskostüme und Spitze und und und steht, der sollte unbedingt wieder reinschauen.

Pink Vintage Wedding Dress

Isn't this adorable? I like the pale pink color and the glitter in the fabric. And I love the sleeves with the velvet details.

It was worn in the late 60s/ early 70s as a wedding dress or maybe as an evening gown. But I think only once or even never at all, the price tag 300 something Deutsche Mark was still inside and the plastic to protect the hem is still intact.

It is made of 100% natural plastic (polyester ;-) )

Though I haven't cleaned or ironed it yet, I could not wait to try it on. It does not fit, what a pity. My shoulders and hips are too broad. It is supposed to be size 40-42 but I guess a 60s 40 is the new 38.

And there is no chance to make it bigger the seams are already at the limit. So either I have to magically shrink or I have to use the fabric for a skirt.

But I guess I will look at it for some time maybe I can think of another use for it. It would be so sad to take it apart.
